A note about cures:
Many curses have dire consequences for trying to find a loophole. For example, a cure that states "You must give all your worldly goods to a beggar", will not work if you 'give everything to a friend but 1 silver,' so that 'all your worldly goods are 1 silver'... This sort of arrogance could make the curse worse, instill a second curse, result in your death, or even anger a god depending on the source of the curse.
